BELARUS
A former Soviet country that borders Russia. The population is 9 million.
Alexander is our ministry training representative in Belarus. He is a former bishop of a region and still a leader in his denomination. He is introducing resources that are helping pastors throughout the country train their ministry teams and disciple their congregations.
Many profess Eastern Orthodoxy or Catholicism, but there is a large percentage of people who profess no religion. Belarus restricts the activity of foreign missionaries.
