DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Dominican Republic borders Haiti, the only other country on the island. The population is 11.5 million, with at least a half million Haitians. Roman Catholics are in the majority, but there are also many evangelical churches.
Our seven churches in the Dominican Republic are composed of Haitian immigrants. Each of the properties has been purchased so that no congregation is still paying rent, but construction is not finished on all of the buildings. Some of the congregations whose buildings were finished have grown and need room for expansion.
Our ministry training center has 15 students, many of whom are already preaching in their churches. Our goal is to open extension sites for ministry training.
